Hello
My name is Thomas Maier I have been podcasting for about 3 years. I am very passionate about music and have decided to embark on a journey to become a melomaniac. My favorite bands are U2, Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead. I am fascinated by the creative process involved with music as well the lyrical and instrumental content.
My Story
My journey towards melomania started in 2021 with the encouragement of an art teacher, Mr Lucas. He encouraged me to look at music as an art as well as a form of entertainment. That summer I traveled to Washington state, I experienced the birth place of Kurt Cobain and quickly fell for the music of Nirvana as well as Soundgarden and Screaming Trees. Later that year I discovered the Smashing Pumpkins in a Grunge Forever playlist, from there I took off becoming obsessed with learning more about the creative process behind their music and collecting bootlegs and live concerts.

I at first was apprehensive about making a music podcast because I was nervous about doing something that had been done a thousand times. In early 2024 I was encouraged by a future guest on my podcast Tony Sifert to record my rants about music. I hope that people do not take this podcast too seriously, I am just trying to have a little fun and learn about music. From there the rest is history...
